La vie en rose

5 Feb

Interviju-rakstu varesiet lasit visticamak aprila Foto Kvartala.

Well done! :)

When I couldn’t get into the metro with the first attempt this morning because my card had expired, I realized that it’s been a month I’m in New York! Already! And then it feels like it’s been years… Anyhow, I won’t make any reports, just  wanted to say yesterday was a great day, let that be a report and celebration all together but today I miss home!

Yesterday I met an amazing man  – a photographer Joel Meyerowitz who is so easy to talk to! A beautiful personality – simple, true and nice! The interview-article will be publish in April isue of Foto Kvartals, Latvian photography magazine.

Later that night we had an opening at Aperture – No Singing Allowed: Flamenco and Photography. The gallery’s walls are in pink and orange, we had a passionate flamenco dancer performing and we counted 981 visitors in 2 hours – well done! :)
